I haven't run in about 5 days until yesterday. Got some sort of stomach/intestinal virus. Woke up Sunday with a full feeling stomach and decided to not run. I lasted 30 minutes at work before emptying my stomach and feeling better, but went home anyway. Laid in bed all day and ate only a few Saltines w/ a Vernors (the BEST GINGER ALE EVER). Felt a little better Monday and thought I was through the worst. However, Tuesday brought on a new wave of nausea and simply not eating. A few days of less than 400 calories per day later and I've lost 7 pounds. Seems like yesterday I ate my first semi-normal dinner of chicken breast, salad, and green peppers. I just don't have my usual food drive, despite running 4 miles yesterday.
Now I have really no clue regarding restarting my training plan. I am supposed to get 18 miles in tomorrow and 10 Sunday. Likely try more of a modest 2 hours very easy, 10 Sunday, then rest Monday and resume normal next week.
Visit w/ Gryo went well. It seems I've come a long way but still have much work ahead. He terms it "damage control". For now, everything is fine and I'm going to go run until it's all messed up. I'll just focus on my thrice weekly strength training routine with the end goal only lingering in the back of my mind.
For now I will enjoy some Breaking Benjamin to get me in a running mood.
